CVE-2017-1486 describes a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in IBM Cognos Business Intelligence versions 10.2, 10.2.1, 10.2.1.1, and 10.2.2. This medium-severity flaw (CVSS 6.1) allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary JavaScript into the web UI, potentially leading to credential disclosure within a trusted user session. While the attack complexity is low, user interaction is required for successful exploitation.
