CVE-2017-14444 describes a critical buffer overflow vulnerability in Insteon Hub firmware version 1012. This flaw allows an attacker to trigger a buffer overflow in the HTTP server by sending a crafted GET request with an overly long URL parameter during a firmware update. With a CVSS score of 9.9 (CRITICAL), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low privileges and no user interaction, potentially leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its high severity, there is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
