24
FAUCET Score

CVE-2017-14020 describes a DLL hijacking vulnerability (CWE-427) affecting multiple AutomationDirect programming software products, including CLICK, C-More, Do-more Designer, and DirectSOFT, in versions prior to their respective updates. An attacker could exploit this by placing a maliciously crafted DLL, renamed to match a legitimate one, in the application's search path, leading to the execution of arbitrary code with the application's privileges. With a CVSS v3 score of 7.8 (High), this vulnerability requires user interaction (UI:R) and local access (AV:L) but has high impacts on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
