CVE-2017-13908 is a file permission handling vulnerability in macOS High Sierra, Sierra, and El Capitan. A local attacker could exploit this flaw to execute non-executable text files when accessed via an SMB share. With a CVSS score of 7.8 (High), this vulnerability allows for high impact to confidentiality, integrity, and availability with low attack complexity and no user interaction required. There is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
