CVE-2017-12335 describes a command injection vulnerability in the CLI of Cisco NX-OS System Software, affecting numerous Nexus and Multilayer Director Switches, as well as Unified Computing System Manager. This medium-severity flaw (CVSS 6.3) allows an authenticated, local attacker to execute arbitrary commands at their privilege level due to insufficient input validation. While it could lead to unauthorized access to the underlying OS or command execution outside a user's VDC, there is no known active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
