CVE-2017-12311 describes a denial-of-service vulnerability in the H.264 decoder function of Cisco Meeting Server. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can trigger this by sending a malformed H.264 frame with an invalid picture parameter set (PPS) value. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 5.8) can cause the media process to restart, leading to a brief interruption in service.
