CVE-2017-1000018 describes a Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability affecting phpMyAdmin versions 4.0, 4.4, and 4.6. An unauthenticated attacker can trigger this DoS by supplying a specially crafted table name to the replication status feature. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (HIGH), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with no user interaction, leading to a complete loss of availability for the affected phpMyAdmin instance. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, nor are there publicly available exploit modules or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
