CVE-2016-8030 describes a memory corruption vulnerability in the Scriptscan COM Object within McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.8 Patch 8 and earlier. This flaw allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to trigger a Denial of Service (DoS) on an active Internet Explorer tab by enticing a user to click a specially crafted HTML link. With a CVSS score of 4.3 (Medium), the attack requires user interaction and has a low impact, primarily affecting availability.
