CVE-2016-7129 is a critical denial-of-service vulnerability affecting PHP versions before 5.6.25 and 7.x before 7.0.10. It allows remote attackers to cause a segmentation fault by providing an invalid ISO 8601 time value within a wddxPacket XML document, specifically when the php_wddx_process_data function mishandles a dateTime element during wddx_deserialize. With a CVSS score of 9.8, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, potentially leading to a complete denial of service and possibly other unspecified impacts. There is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
