CVE-2016-5189 describes a vulnerability in Google Chrome versions prior to 54.0.2840.59 (Windows, Mac, Linux) and 54.0.2840.85 (Android) that allowed navigation to blob URLs with non-canonical origins. This flaw enabled a remote attacker to spoof the Omnibox (URL bar) content through specially crafted HTML pages. Rated as medium severity (CVSS 6.5), the vulnerability requires user interaction (UI:R) but has low attack complexity (AC:L) and could lead to high integrity impact (I:H) by deceiving users about the true origin of a page.
