CVE-2016-2277 is a medium-severity vulnerability affecting Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture Builder (IAB) versions prior to 9.6.0.8 and 9.7.x prior to 9.7.0.2. It allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by tricking a high-privileged user into opening a specially crafted project file. This attack requires user interaction and high privileges, but if successful, could lead to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
