CVE-2016-2070

25
FAUCET Score

CVE-2016-2070 describes a denial-of-service vulnerability in the Linux kernel (versions before 4.3.5) affecting the tcp_cwnd_reduction function. Remote attackers can trigger a divide-by-zero error and system crash by sending specially crafted TCP traffic. This high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 7.5) requires no authentication or user interaction, allowing unprivileged network-based attacks to achieve a complete system outage. While no public exploits or Metasploit modules are available, and community discussion is minimal, the potential for a remote denial of service remains.
