CVE-2016-1997 is a critical remote code execution vulnerability affecting HPE Operations Orchestration 10.x before 10.51 and Operations Orchestration content before 1.7.0. It allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands by sending a crafted serialized Java object, leveraging a flaw in the Apache Commons Collections library. With a CVSS score of 9.8, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with no user interaction, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its high severity, there is currently no public exploit code available (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB) and no evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
