CVE-2016-10462 is a critical access control vulnerability affecting various Qualcomm Snapdragon Automobile and Mobile platforms, including the SD 410/12, SD 425, SD 427, SD 430, SD 435, SD 450, SD 615/16/SD 415, SD 625, SD 650/52, SD 808, SD 810, SD 820, SD 820A, SD 835, SDM630, SDM636, SDM660, and Snapdragon_High_Med_2016, in Android versions prior to the 2018-04-05 security patch level. This flaw allows unauthorized access to sensitive Slimbus, GPU, and GIC resources due to an improper access control policy within the HLOS. With a CVSS v3 score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), the vulnerability is network-exploitable with low attack complexity, requiring no user interaction, and can lead to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
