CVE-2016-10106 is a directory traversal vulnerability in the scgi-bin/platform.cgi component of several NETGEAR FVS and SRX series devices running firmware before 4.3.3-8. This flaw allows authenticated remote attackers to read arbitrary system files, such as /etc/shadow, by manipulating the "thispage" parameter with dot-dot sequences. Rated as Medium severity (CVSS 6.5), it requires prior authentication but has low attack complexity and high confidentiality impact.
