CVE-2016-0036 is a Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) Elevation of Privilege vulnerability affecting Microsoft Windows 7 SP1, 8.1, 10, and Server 2012 Gold/R2. This high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 8.1) allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via crafted data. While the attack vector is network-based, the attack complexity is high, and it can lead to full compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
