CVE-2015-7193

20
FAUCET Score

CVE-2015-7193 describes a Same Origin Policy bypass vulnerability in Mozilla Firefox versions prior to 42.0 and Firefox ESR versions prior to 38.4. This flaw allows remote attackers to circumvent security restrictions by improperly handling Content-Type headers during POST requests, thereby avoiding the necessary CORS preflight checks. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), successful exploitation could lead to unauthorized access to sensitive information, data modification, and denial of service. While no active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion has been observed, organizations should still patch affected Firefox versions to mitigate this risk.
