CVE-2015-6552 describes a critical vulnerability in Veritas NetBackup and NetBackup Appliance versions 7.x through 7.7.x and 2.5.x through 2.7.x, respectively. The flaw in the management-services protocol allows remote unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary RPC calls, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. With a CVSS score of 9.8, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity. Despite its high severity, there is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
