CVE-2015-6279 describes a denial-of-service vulnerability in the IPv6 snooping functionality of Cisco IOS and IOS XE. A remote attacker can trigger a device reload by sending a malformed Neighbor Discovery (ND) packet containing a Cryptographically Generated Address (CGA) option. With a CVSS score of 7.8 (High), this vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to cause a complete system outage with low attack complexity.
