CVE-2015-5344 describes a critical deserialization vulnerability in the camel-xstream component of Apache Camel versions prior to 2.15.5 and 2.16.1. This flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands by submitting a specially crafted serialized Java object within an HTTP request. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), successful exploitation grants full confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact. Despite its severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
