This flaw allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service by sending a specially crafted GIF image to the SMTP daemon. With a CVSS score of 7.5, it is considered highly severe due to its network-based attack vector and potential for complete compromise (C, I, A: P).
