CVE-2015-4497 is a use-after-free vulnerability in the CanvasRenderingContext2D implementation of Mozilla Firefox versions prior to 40.0.3 and Firefox ESR 38.x prior to 38.2.1. This flaw allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by manipulating resize events and CSS token sequence changes for a CANVAS element. With a CVSS score of 10.0, this vulnerability is critical, enabling complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability with low attack complexity and no authentication required. While no public exploit code is available in Metasploit or ExploitDB, and it is not listed in CISA's KEV catalog, it has received some community and media attention.
