CVE-2015-4482 is an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the Mozilla Firefox Updater (mar_read.c) affecting Firefox versions prior to 40.0 and Firefox ESR 38.x before 38.2, as well as various distributions of Firefox and OpenSUSE. This local vulnerability, with low attack complexity, allows an unauthenticated attacker to gain privileges or cause a denial of service through a crafted Mozilla Archive (MAR) file name.
