CVE-2014-5352

31
FAUCET Score

CVE-2014-5352 is a critical use-after-free and double-free vulnerability affecting the libgssapi_krb5 library in MIT Kerberos 5 versions through 1.11.5, 1.12.x through 1.12.2, and 1.13.x before 1.13.1. This flaw allows remote authenticated users to trigger a denial of service (daemon crash) or potentially execute arbitrary code by sending crafted GSSAPI traffic. With a CVSS score of 9.0, this vulnerability is highly severe, requiring only authenticated access over the network with low attack complexity, and leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its high severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage surrounding this CVE.
