CVE-2014-4609

24
FAUCET Score

CVE-2014-4609 describes an integer overflow vulnerability in the get_len function within libavutil/lzo.c of Libav versions before 0.8.13, 9.x before 9.14, and 10.x before 10.2. This flaw allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by crafting a malicious Literal Run. With a CVSS v3.1 score of 8.8 (HIGH), this vulnerability is critical due to its network-based attack vector, low attack complexity, and high potential for confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts. Despite its severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, publicly available exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
