CVE-2014-2828 describes a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting OpenStack Identity (Keystone) V3 API versions 2013.1 before 2013.2.4 and icehouse before icehouse-rc2. This flaw allows remote attackers to consume excessive CPU resources through "authentication chaining," by submitting a large number of identical authentication methods in a single request. With a CVSS score of 7.8 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to a complete denial of service.
