CVE-2014-1563

34
FAUCET Score

CVE-2014-1563 is a critical use-after-free vulnerability affecting Mozilla Firefox, Firefox ESR, and Thunderbird. This flaw, residing in the mozilla::DOMSVGLength::GetTearOff function, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service through heap memory corruption via a specially crafted SVG animation. With a CVSS score of 10.0, it presents a severe risk due to its network-based attack vector, low complexity, and complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its high severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
