CVE-2013-5537 describes a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting the management GUI of Cisco Web Security Appliance (WSA), Email Security Appliance (ESA), and Content Security Management Appliance (SMA) devices. This flaw, stemming from improper HTTP/HTTPS session management, allows unauthenticated remote attackers to trigger an outage by initiating numerous TCP connections. With a CVSS score of 7.8 (High), it is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to a complete loss of availability for the management interface. There is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
