CVE-2013-4511

18
FAUCET Score

CVE-2013-4511 describes multiple integer overflow vulnerabilities in the Alchemy LCD frame-buffer drivers within the Linux kernel versions prior to 3.12. These flaws, specifically in the au1100fb_fb_mmap and au1200fb_fb_mmap functions, allow a local attacker to achieve privilege escalation. By crafting mmap operations, an attacker can create a read-write memory mapping for the entire kernel memory, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While rated with a CVSS score of 6.9, indicating a medium severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, publicly available exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
