CVE-2013-2790 describes a denial-of-service vulnerability in the IOServer master-station DNP3 driver, specifically versions prior to driver19.exe and Beta2041.exe. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by sending specially crafted DNP3 packets to TCP port 20000, leading to an infinite loop and rendering the service unavailable. With a CVSS score of 7.8 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, resulting in a complete loss of availability.
