CVE-2013-1722 is a critical use-after-free vulnerability in the nsAnimationManager::BuildAnimations function within the Animation Manager of Mozilla Firefox, Thunderbird, and SeaMonkey versions prior to their respective 24.0 and 2.21 releases, including Firefox/Thunderbird ESR 17.x before 17.0.9. This flaw allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service through heap memory corruption by manipulating stylesheet cloning. With a CVSS score of 9.3, this vulnerability is highly severe, requiring no authentication and having a medium attack complexity, but leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its high severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
