CVE-2013-10047 describes an unrestricted file upload vulnerability in MiniWeb HTTP Server <= Build 300, allowing unauthenticated remote attackers to upload arbitrary files. By leveraging a path traversal vulnerability in the upload handler, attackers can achieve SYSTEM privileges on vulnerable Windows systems (prior to Vista) through WMI service execution of a malicious payload. This critical vulnerability (CVSS 9.3) has a low attack complexity and can lead to complete compromise of the affected system. While not currently listed in CISA KEV, a Metasploit module exists, and the vulnerability has garnered significant community discussion.
