CVE-2011-1868 describes a critical memory corruption vulnerability in the Distributed File System (DFS) implementation of Microsoft Windows XP SP2/SP3 and Server 2003 SP2. This flaw allows a malicious remote DFS server to execute arbitrary code on a vulnerable client system by sending a specially crafted DFS response. With a CVSS score of 10.0, this vulnerability presents a severe risk, enabling complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability without authentication.
