36
FAUCET Score

CVE-2011-1269 is a critical remote code execution vulnerability affecting multiple Microsoft PowerPoint versions (2002 SP3, 2003 SP3, 2007 SP2), Office for Mac (2004, 2008), Open XML File Format Converter for Mac, and Office Compatibility Pack. The vulnerability stems from improper memory handling during file parsing, allowing attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted PowerPoint document. With a CVSS score of 9.3, it is highly severe, requiring user interaction (opening a malicious file) but allowing complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its high severity and EPSS score, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
