CVE-2010-4392

CVE-2010-4392 describes a critical heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability affecting RealNetworks RealPlayer versions 11.0 through 11.1, RealPlayer SP 1.0 through 1.1.5, RealPlayer Enterprise 2.1.2 and 2.1.3, and Linux RealPlayer 11.0.2.1744, potentially extending to HelixPlayer. This flaw, stemming from improper integer calculations, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by crafting malicious ImageMap data within a RealMedia file. With a CVSS score of 9.3, it presents a severe risk, as it can be exploited over the network with medium attack complexity, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
