21
FAUCET Score

CVE-2010-4005 describes a privilege escalation vulnerability in GNOME Tomboy versions 1.5.2 and earlier. The tomboy and tomboy-panel scripts incorrectly place a zero-length directory name in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH, allowing local attackers to execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges by introducing a malicious shared library in the current working directory. With a CVSS score of 6.9 (AV:L/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C), this vulnerability requires local access and medium attack complexity but can lead to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
