CVE-2010-3901

20
FAUCET Score

CVE-2010-3901 describes a critical vulnerability in OpenConnect versions prior to 2.25, where improper X.509 certificate validation allows man-in-the-middle (MITM) attackers to spoof AnyConnect SSL VPN servers. Attackers can achieve this by presenting a crafted server certificate that either doesn't match the hostname or is used when the --cafile option is missing. With a CVSS score of 6.4 (medium severity), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, potentially leading to information disclosure and data integrity compromise. There is no evidence of active exploitation, publicly available exploit code, or significant community discussion, and it is not listed in CISA's KEV catalog.
