CVE-2010-0037 describes a buffer overflow vulnerability in the Image RAW component of Apple Mac OS X 10.5.8 and 10.6.2. This flaw allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or trigger a denial of service by enticing a user to open a specially crafted DNG image file. With a CVSS score of 8.8 (HIGH), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over a network with low attack complexity and user interaction, potentially leading to full compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
