CVE-2009-2505 describes a critical memory corruption vulnerability in the Internet Authentication Service (IAS) of Microsoft Windows Vista SP2 and Server 2008 SP2. This flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by sending malformed MS-CHAP v2 PEAP authentication requests. With a CVSS score of 10.0, this vulnerability is highly severe, requiring no authentication or user interaction, and leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
