CVE-2009-0099 describes a denial-of-service vulnerability in the Electronic Messaging System Microsoft Data Base (EMSMDB32) provider within Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server SP3 and Exchange Server 2003 SP2. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by sending a malformed MAPI command, leading to an application outage of the Exchange System Attendant. With a CVSS score of 5.0 (AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low complexity, resulting in a partial availability impact.
