40
FAUCET Score

CVE-2009-0081 describes a critical input validation vulnerability in the Graphics Device Interface (GDI) kernel component across multiple Microsoft Windows versions, including Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, and Server 2008. This flaw allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted Windows Metafile (WMF) or Enhanced Metafile (EMF) image. With a CVSS score of 9.3, this vulnerability is highly severe due to its network-based attack vector, medium attack complexity, and complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
