CVE-2008-6065

23
FAUCET Score

CVE-2008-6065 affects Oracle Database Server versions 10.1, 10.2, and 11g, allowing remote authenticated users with CREATE ANY DIRECTORY privileges to escalate to SYSDBA. This vulnerability stems from the database granting WRITE permissions to arbitrary aliased pathnames in CREATE OR REPLACE DIRECTORY statements. An attacker could exploit this by aliasing the password directory and overwriting the password file via UTL_FILE operations, leading to a complete compromise of the database. While not actively exploited in the wild and lacking Metasploit/Nuclei modules, an ExploitDB entry (EDB-32475) confirms the existence of exploit code, despite minimal community discussion or media coverage.
