CVE-2008-4863

CVE-2008-4863 describes an untrusted search path vulnerability in the BPY_interface component of Blender 2.46. This flaw allows local attackers to execute arbitrary code by placing a malicious Python file in the current working directory, due to an incorrect configuration of sys.path by the PySys_SetArgv function. With a CVSS score of 6.9 (High), the vulnerability requires local access and medium attack complexity, but can lead to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is no evidence of active exploitation, nor are there publicly available exploit modules in Metasploit or Nuclei, and it has received no significant community discussion or media coverage.
