CVE-2008-4813 is a critical memory corruption vulnerability affecting Adobe Reader and Acrobat versions 8.1.2 and earlier, and before 7.1.1. It allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by crafting malicious PDF documents that either trigger memory corruption via a Collab object's GetCosObj method or contain a malformed PDF object during parsing. With a CVSS score of 9.3, this vulnerability is highly severe, requiring no authentication and having a medium attack complexity, but leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its age and high severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
