CVE-2008-4559 describes a critical remote code execution vulnerability affecting HP OpenView Network Node Manager (OV NNM) versions 7.01, 7.51, and 7.53. Attackers can exploit this by injecting shell metacharacters into argument fields of the webappmon.exe or OpenView5.exe CGI programs. With a CVSS score of 10.0, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with no authentication required, allowing for complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
