CVE-2008-0312 describes a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the AutoFix Support Tool ActiveX control (SYMADATA.DLL) found in various Symantec Norton products, including Norton 360, AntiVirus, Internet Security, and System Works versions from 2006 to 2008. This critical vulnerability (CVSS 9.3) allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by supplying an excessively long argument to the GetEventLogInfo method.
