CVE-2007-1885 describes an integer overflow vulnerability in the str_replace function of PHP 4 (before 4.4.5) and PHP 5 (before 5.2.1). This flaw allows unauthenticated, remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by supplying a single-character search string and a very long replacement string, which overflows a 32-bit length counter. With a CVSS score of 7.5, this vulnerability is considered high severity, indicating a low attack complexity and potential for complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
