CVE-2007-1879 describes a critical vulnerability in the KL.SysInfo ActiveX control (AxKLSysInfo.dll) within Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 and Internet Security 6.0 prior to Maintenance Pack 2 build 6.0.2.614. This flaw allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files by initiating an anonymous FTP session that executes a PUT command. With a CVSS score of 9.3, this vulnerability presents a high risk due to its network-based attack vector, medium attack complexity, and complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
