CVE-2007-1819

63
FAUCET Score

CVE-2007-1819 is a critical stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability found in the SPIDERLib.Loader ActiveX control (Spider90.ocx) within HP Mercury Quality Center versions 9.0 (before Patch 12.1) and 8.2 SP1 (before Patch 32). This flaw allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on an affected system by supplying an overly long value to the ProgColor property. With a CVSS score of 9.3, it presents a severe risk, as it can be exploited remotely with medium attack complexity to achieve complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While not listed on CISA's KEV catalog, exploit modules are readily available in Metasploit and ExploitDB, indicating a high potential for exploitation, despite a lack of significant community discussion or media coverage.
