CVE-2007-1739 describes a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the LDAP server of IBM Lotus Domino versions prior to 6.5.6 and 7.x before 7.0.2 FP1. This flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to trigger a denial of service by sending a specially crafted, long DN request that causes incorrect memory allocation. With a CVSS score of 7.8 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to a complete loss of availability. Despite its severity, there is no public exploit code available, it is not listed in CISA's KEV catalog, and it has received no community discussion or media coverage, suggesting it is not actively exploited.
